Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.

SASSA will likely be rendering expert services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency stated it can be alarmed with regards to the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a large quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area on a regular basis. The provider level created for intervention ordeals a large inflow of probable beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who pay a visit to a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and raise entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
